Every week, we’ll try to keep you updated with local events – public meetings, strikes, occupations, marches, protests, elections and so on. We might also throw in some cultural goings-on, too.
If you know of an event that we’ve missed out, please let us know:

Join the Living Rent Campaign at the Edinburgh May Day march and rally!
There is a long and proud tradition of unity between tenants’ struggles and workers’ struggles. During the Glasgow rent strikes of 1915, when tenants were being taken to court for non-payment, it was the threat of a general strike – the unity of tenants and workers – that forced the government to act.
Today, we know that sky-high rents and rip-off landlords are just the other side of the coin of poverty wages and exploitative bosses, so we will be joining trade unionists and workers’ organisations on a march through Edinburgh to commemorate International Workers’ Day on Saturday, May 7th.
We will gather at Johnston Terrace from 11:00, to set off at midday.
