Every week, we’ll try to keep you updated with local events – public meetings, strikes, occupations, marches, protests, elections and so on. We might also throw in some cultural goings-on, too. If you know of an event that we’ve missed out, please let us know: momentumedinburgh [at] gmail [dot] com

Momentum Edinburgh Meeting #3
19.00 – 21.30 David Hume Tower LG.09
This is our third meeting, where we will hear reports from the working groups, discuss politics and some campaign ideas, and hopefully have more of a social atmosphere as well. If you’d like to be added to our mailing list, please email momentumedinburgh [at] gmail [dot] com.
20.00 – 0.00 Teviot Debating Hall
EUSA’s annual Gaylidh is an opportunity to let your hair down & enjoy a traditional Scottish ceilidh with a queer twist. There’s no dress code so wear whatever makes you feel good (but make sure you bring some comfy shoes!).
Thursday
NO2BrandIsrael at the Scottish Parliament
11.00 Scottish Parliament
The Scottish Parliament will be debating a motion from Tory MSP Jackson Carlaw opposing the cultural boycott of Israel. The motion attacks the Palestinian civil society’s call for BDS and has been signed by Tory, Lib Dem, Labour and SNP MSPs. It is a feeble attempt at whitewashing Israel’s oppression of the Palestinian people and their culture.
